Description
This is a Wallpaper I made some time ago.Basically, I just wanted to make a "clean" looking image for use on my homepage, later I decided to publish the rendering as a desktop Wallpaper.
Well, have fun with this. Or don't. Whatever.

3d Studio Max r4, ohne 3rd Party Renderer (default 3ds scanline renderer wurde verwendet).
Material ist ein zusammengeschustertes raytracing material ohne Textur.
Danke fΓΌr das Comment!

Damn, this is extremely well done. I really like the sharp edges, the clear lines...everything about it. It is quite simple (but I'm sure that creating this piece wasn't simple at all) and yet so very impressive.

Simple but very nice. It reminds me of the Final Fantasy VII videogame where you fight the last boss Safer Sephiroth. The floor there looks like your image.

i think it has deserved its attention because it simply looks good. it's not about technique - how it was made... it's about the look... and it looks great

Actually, toasty, I have to agree with you.
Like I mentioned, I just rendered this picture for some photoshop blending use for my website, I just decided to make a wallpaper out of it for fun's sake.
I never expected this to become a top daily favourite (even though I'm very happy about it, after all, I haven't been here for very long).
But those who critizise it are right, this IS nothing special, apart from the final lighting settings it didn't take longer than say... 20 minutes to make.

Im sorry if this sounds insulting, but its really not. This is not a top daily favorites piece! I mean it looks pretty and everything... but its shiny reflective cubes. They are not a feat, they are not amazing, and they are not worth all this attention.
Why are people favoriting this? Damn lemmings.
