The "survived" portion...is that representing current Jews in Europe or the ones left immediately after WWII was over?

It's the amount left in Europe during 1945 when the Nazi's lost their power to the allied forces, May 8th I believe it is.

Yes, the estimated death count was 5,962,129. Those who left/escaped were categorized as survivors.
