This is a scene from my KuramaxOC fic, "Speak". It hasn't happened yet, but it will soon, so... look out for it. =]I really don't like the way Kurama turned out, so I plan on redoing him when I ink the image. I like how Momo looks, though, so she'll stay the same.
And yes, they're on a beach. I can't color so I doubt this will ever be more than black and white, but when I get a better scan of the inked version, feel free to color it if you get bored, lol.

1) What gender are you?
- I'm a girl.
2) What is your age?
- Eighteen. I’m a senior in highschool!
3) Do you want a hug?
- Sure! I love hugs!
4) Do you have any bad habits?
- Well, some people say I’m too nice. I try to see the best in people, but occasionally my trusting nature can bite me in the butt… but I try to stay positive at all times!
5) What is your favorite food?
- I love takoyaki and anything baked. Ice cream is another favorite of mine, although I try to keep away from sweets since I play softball and want to keep in shape!
6) What is your favorite ice-cream flavor?
- French vanilla or custard. I love the hominess of those flavors.
7) Are you a virgin?
- That’s--! That’s so--! Ugh, yes, I am, but I don’t know why you’d ask me something like that!
8) Have you killed anyone?
- Never! Taking another life is wrong!
9) Do you hate anyone?
- ‘Hate’ is a word I try to keep out of my vocabulary whenever possible. If I find myself not liking someone, I tell myself that I simply don’t know enough about them yet. Surely they have something that makes them unlikeable that I should try to understand, right?
10) Do you have any secrets?
- Very few, actually. I tell my mom and my best friends (and bestest best friend, Yuuki) almost everything. The one thing I don’t tell them is how lonely I get sometimes, because I know that would break their hearts and I hate seeing them get hurt.
11) What is your favorite season?
- Summer, of course! Sunbathing and swimming are some of my favorite things, ever, and I love going to the beach and Ryuku.
12) Who is your best friend(s)?
- My three best friends and I make a fabulous foursome! We’re me, Momoko (called Momo), and Sugimoto (called Sugi), Akko, and Yuuki! I’m the closest to Yuuki since I’ve known her the longest; she’s my best friend in the entire world, besides my mom, who’s an unofficial member of our little group.
13) What are your hobbies?
- Softball and baseball are my passions, so I dislike calling them a hobby because it doesn’t quite encompass just how much I love them. Baking is another hobby of mine. I also like flower arranging and tea ceremonies because it’s fun to dress up like something other than a tomboy. Oh, and is hanging out with my friends a hobby? Because I do it all the time! Taking walks, swimming, and text messaging are also activities I enjoy.
14) What is your favorite drink?
- Sports drinks are the best because of the electrolytes, but I also love milk (yay, calcium!) and tea (because it’s soothing).
15) When is your birthday?
- August 17th
16) What age did you die?
- I’m not dead yet, silly! And I plan on living a long and happy life!
17) Are you nice or mean?
- I always try to be as kind, nonjudgmental, and positive as possible.
18) Are you social or shy?
- This one’s tricky. Most people would tell me I’m a social person, but that’s only because people rarely see me alone; I’m usually with the super-social Sugi, Akko, and Yuuki, and being with them, I HAVE to be social. When I’m alone, however, I tend to come across as reserved… I’m a mute, you see, so unless someone is there to translate for me I tend to fade into the background.
19) What do you think of your parents?
- I love them both very much! My mom raised me so we’re super-close, and although my dad and I are not close, he wants what’s best for me.
20) What's your weakness?
- Sometimes, I let people walk all over me and don’t stand up for myself, but I’m working on that!
21) How long can you stay under water?
- Longer than most people, though I’ve never timed myself. I do swimming as a means of keeping in shape for softball.
22) What do you do on a regular day basis?
- Well, I keep my phone on 24/7 so I can be there for my friends at any minute of the day or night, but since I wake up earlier than most of them to jog and train for softball, I tend not to hear from them until well after my day gets underway. After training on my own, I meet Yuuki at the station and we go to school together. After school I have softball practice, and then me and the girls usually go out somewhere and have fun shopping, singing karaoke, or just having a good time (occasionally doing homework) at one of our houses. We tend to split up in the late evening. That’s when I go home and do my work, make dinner for mom (she gets home well after midnight, being a crisis surgeon and all) and chat with friends online. On the weekends I wake up really early to do Tai-Chi in the park with a group of people from my old school, and I hang out with my friends or train for softball after that. I also volunteer at a deaf school nearby. Gotta do my part!
23) Do you love someone?
- Um, well, I, you see… I just started sort of seeing someone recently. We don’t quite know what we are to each other yet, but I think I’m starting to like him a lot despite this, and… well, I think he likes me too. I don’t know why he’d spend do much time with me if he didn’t, but he’s the secretive type, so I’m giving him as much space and privacy as he needs so he can comfortable enough around me to open up. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens!
24) When was the last time you wet yourself?
- I have no idea! Probably when I was a little kid, I should think.
25) What's your favorite band?
- I don’t really have one. I tend to listen to more pop music than anything else, but rock is my favorite training music since it gets my blood pumping.
26) Ever worn a dress?
- Of course! Although I’m more comfortable looking sporty and athletic, I love dressing up and letting my friends do my hair and makeup. Every girl should feel beautiful from time to time!
27) Willingly?
- Is this still about the dress? Yes, I would willingly wear one. I will admit that I like skirts more than dresses, though.
28) What do you consider fun in the day-time?
- Hanging out with my friends and playing sports is the best! My cellphone is hardly ever out of sight; I’m a super-fast texter and you can always count on me to be there for you.
29) At night?
- Me and the girls love dressing up and going out dancing, although I’m content to sit home with a book or have a girl’s night with a nice romantic comedy playing in the background. Going on dates with a certain someone isn’t so bad, either, but shhh! You didn’t hear that from me!
30) Ever kissed anyone?
- Actually, um… yes. Don’t tell Kurama, but when I drink I turn into what my friends call the Kissy Monster. It’s so embarrassing!
31) ...Of the same gender?
- If we’re being honest, then I’d have to admit that yes, I’ve kissed a girl… in fact, I’ve kissed all of my good fab-foursome friends at least a dozen times each. It’s only ever happened to me when I’m drunk, though, and usually only to freak people out or when we’re feeling affectionate and just give each other friendly pecks. I’m as heterosexual as they come, but Sugi has some bisexual tendencies she doesn’t like admitting to, Akko is bi but seems to lean toward girls more, and Yuuki… well, she’s really, really shy around boys and has never dated anyone in her life. I don’t even think she knows her orientation quite yet!
32) It's clear you're gay.
- Ha ha, you’re funny. I might be bi-curious at the very most, but since I count sexuality toward who you’ve fallen in love with, and I’ve only ever fallen in love with boys, I consider myself straight.
33) What's your favorite thing to touch?
- I love the feel of a leather baseball mitt against my palm and fingers, and I love the feel of a baseball in my hand even more. The metal of a bat, ooh, that’s also good… but, I think I like the sun on my face the most, and the wind in my hair, too.
34) Anyone loves you?
- My parents love me, and so do my friends—Akko, Sugi, and especially Yuuki. There’s also this one guy who I think might like me, but love? We haven’t gotten there quite yet.
35) What's your favorite color?
- I love cool colors like blue and green and purple, but I like wearing warm colors (especially gold) the most since they make my dark skin glow. I also really like the color black, but I’m not gothic or anything! I just think it goes well with my dark skin, hair, and eyes, and it’s a classy color that will never go out of style.
36) When was the last time you cried?
- Although I try to be as happy as possible when I can, I still cry a lot—but never, EVER in public. I only cry when no one is around; I don’t want to bring people down with my problems. Yuuki and my mother are the only people I ever really cry in front of, but Kurama… with the rate he and I have been getting to know each other…
37) Do you have a pet?
- I’ve always wanted a dog, but neither Mom nor I are home enough to really care for one.
39) Are you crazy?
- I don’t think so, ha ha!
40) What are you?
- I’m a young human woman, and a mute. I’m also a softball player, a swimmer, a runner, and a tanner, ha ha.
41) What's your nickname?
- ‘Momo’ is short for my real name, ‘Momoko’, but I’m known in the softball world as ‘The Peach Cannon’ because I have a really powerful throwing arm and I bat balls out of the park.
42) Do you consider yourself a happy or a down person?
- I try to be as happy as possible as often as possible. Sometimes, though, it’s hard to be happy when you’re what feels like the only mute in a million miles.
43) If you were a superhero, you'll be...?
- My superpower would be to make people see things from other points of view. I could stop wars!
44) Favorite movie?
- I don’t really have one—I love all movie genres, so it’s hard to pick!
45) What is your current occupation?
- I’m a student and Furuya All-Girls School, a softball player, and a volunteer at a deaf elementary school.
46) Who do you know that bugs you?
- My grandfather is the person I have the most trouble empathizing with after what he did to my family.
47) What's your favorite song?
- Like with the movies and bands questions, I don’t have just one. Some of my favorites are “E.T.” (it’s my walk-up song when I go up to bat in softball games) and “Super Bass”. I only listen to “Super Bass” when I’m truly happy… and feeling sort of in love.
48) Do you consider yourself a warrior?
- I like to think of myself more of a lover than a fighter, but on the baseball field, the claws come out, and when the people I love get hurt… well. Let’s just say you don’t want to see me get intense.
49) Have you 'done it' in the past month?
- N-no! Of course not! I want to wait until I’m in a stable relationship with someone I love to do that.
50) Ever think about getting married?
- I would love to get married and have children one day, though finding someone who would take the risk of our children having my defect… I don’t know who would want me. I’m keeping optimistic, though!
51) Have you ever had a sleepover with someone of the opposite sex?
- I actually have, although it wasn’t because I was interested in them or anything of the sort. It’s just that Sugi tends to invite her boyfriends (she tends to have more than one at once) to our annual trip to Ryuku Island, and we all stay in her beach house there, so… it’s the fab-four and some boys. Nothing inappropriate goes on ,though!
52) When was the first time you 'did it'?
- Hasn’t happened yet!
53) Do you have any piercings?
- I have pierced ears, but I think I want my cartilage pierced at some point.
54) Do you have any tattoos?
-I do not, but I’ve always liked the idea of getting a peach tattooed somewhere. You know, to go with the meaning of my name?

So I was listening to Little Hell by City and Colour when I saw this picture and the two suddenly fused each other together in my brain. I get the feeling that the longer Speak goes on the more the two will match each other, but that's just my intuition talking and that's usually worth crap. It's actually kind of odd, my brain has generated scenes from the fic that haven't happened yet (and probably never will, but maybe could) and filled in the gaps left by what few scenes I have so far. The two combine along with a couple clips from the show to make a full-fledged amv. As in effects (some of which that probably don't exist on any video editor), timing, masking, the whole shebang. I've never even made an amv before. o_o Look at what you do to my brain, Graph!
As a side note, the EXACT same thing happened with Ryu and the extremely long-named song "There's a Reason These Tables are Numbered Honey You just Haven't Thought of it Yet." Except that one doesn't fit him quite so well.

First of all—you’re a mind reader. Really. I’d never heard that song before, but the minute I took a peek at the lyrics my jaw just about literally hit the floor. Both Kurama and Momo have memories and baggage to deal with, and the first two verses in particular… oh wow. Just, wow.
Just out of curiosity… the part about the warship lying off the coast of your heart… is that where the beach picture came in? Hmmmm??? Because that’s what popped into my head, ha ha!
Secondly, now I’m really, REALLY curious about what you imagine happening in the fic—for serious, and stuff, because I’m really interested in how it’s coming across to the people reading it! It’s still a baby of a fic at this point, after all, so my plans for it… BA HA HA, ahem, I have no idea what people expect. If there’s one thing I do not excel at, it’s predicting what the readers think. I get surprised every time!

The beach scene? Are you sure there isn't a mutual mind reading thing going on here? 
I'm assuming a decent amount of time passes while Kurama and Momo get close, and from Fragments I also assume Kurama puts his big brain to work learning sign language. Plot stuff happens in the background, something bad presumably involving a coverup from Spirit World, Hide, Koenma's dad's secrets, and maaaaaybe Yomi (because it's a Kurama fic, naturally, and Yomi was already referenced as "not being done with Kurama" in this one I think) are revealed.
Something happens to convince poor Kurama that Momo being close to him is too dangerous for her own good, and pushed her away, maybe at a dance of some kind because wasn't Momo in a dress in the first chapter? Thus the irony gods dictate that then is the perfect time for her to be kidnapped, and that wonderful, happy prologue takes off. I know you'll probably try your best to avoid the cliche rescue scene, and Momo probably ain't getting out of there herself. I am afeared for your characters. Though my brain DID supply a scene with Momo in the hospital and Kurama standing in the corner throwing himself a pity party.

Beach scene was referencing the deviation I submitted showing Momo doing a handstand on the beach, Kurama in the background… yeah. Assumptions on my part lead to AWKWARD.
Reading over your theories was AWESOME. Seriously. You’re right about Kurama’s big brain and the sign language, although I am happy to report that the plot itself has plenty of surprises in store! I don’t know how much you want me to say on here, so I‘ll just leave it at that unless asked. ^^
Although… I will say that the rescue scene is (at least in my opinion) a successful avoidance of cliché… though I guess you’ll just have to wait and see. ^^

I love their poses a ton (you did a really nice job with the proportions and anatomy) and the meme provided a lot of helpful info on Momo. Also, those photos you took were beautiful! I especially loved the silhouetted tree in the sunset and the photo close-up of the swing.
One thing I just noticed is that Momo has two right feet; the big toe on her left foot is facing outward. I've done that SO MANY times, and that might be why I caught it. I didn't see it the first time, but it's weird because it looks really natural that way. Unless, that's just something Momo has which would actually be cool since you don't see that too often.
