INFO:

To make your very own Vivisuke, simply follow the accompanying recipe.

INGREDIENTS:

¼ a human’s worth of cheerleading queen-bee.
¼ a human’s worth of good quality intelligence.
½ human’s worth of PURE, UNADULTERATED MALICE.

DIRECTIONS:

Mix ingredients thoroughly. Use beaters of egotism, social savvy, and take-no-prisoners ambition on the highest setting possible until mixture is smooth, attractive, and more capable of lying than a veteran politician.

Once finished, pound it with a meat tenderizer made of sugar-coated venom and murderous intent. (Ideally, the meat tenderizer should be one previously used on the innocent, baby forest creatures, or unicorns, if available.)

Finally, place your Vivisuke dough into a maniacal oven of HATE. Bake on the “insane-but-smart-oh-god-oh-god-panic” setting for as long as humanly possible, then allow to cool on a cooling rack at room temperature.

Once cooled, sprinkle Vivisuke liberally with a deceptively sweet attitude and enough money to fund a major global takeover.

WARNING: If left on her own for seventeen years, you may find that Vivisuke has become coated in a light, flaky layer of hatred for Kazuma Kuwabara, one that came into being when he beat her score on a geometry exam. This is fine—it’s desirable, in fact, so do not be alarmed (unless you’re Kuwabara, of course, in which case you should just kill yourself now to get the agony over with).

Nationality/Ethnicity: Human! Born and raised in Japan, with a Japanese father and a French mother

Hair Color: Dark brown, but she bleaches it to an almost-blonde pale brown.

Eye Color: Light brown

Height/Weight: 5’8 (170 cm), petite build

How did he/she become evil?:

Vivi has been evil her entire life. It’s the fault of her upbringing, you see: her mother is a model and her father is a business tycoon, and both parents brought Vivi up to value money, influence, looks, and prestige more than anything else. They also taught her to do ANYTHING to get what she wants, including lying, bribing, cheating, blackmailing, stealing, threatening, and physically or emotionally hurting others. The girl has no morals, and the only vulnerable spot in her emotional wasteland is her pride. If someone seems poised to take anything from her, ANYTHING AT ALL no matter how small, she gets so viciously defensive that they’ll end up wishing they’d never been born.

Who do they hate the most?

KAZUMA KUWABARA. Why, you ask? During her second year, Kuwabara transferred into Vivi’s highschool as a scholarship student. Thanks to his hard work and the encouragement (cough cough, tough love) of his sister, he managed to focus on his grades, abandon his delinquent side, and become a great student. He had the misfortune of sitting next to Vivi in geometry class, however, and one day he happened to get a test grade higher than Vivi’s. Then he did the dumbest thing imaginable: HE SHOWED THE GRADE TO VIVISUKE. From that day forth, Vivi focused all her efforts on avenging that one moment of hurt pride. She was the school’s top student, you see, and the knowledge that someone as low class (in Vivi’s eyes) as the scholarship student could best her was simply unacceptable.

What makes them so evil?

Vivisuke plays a dangerous, but effective, game: she gets close to her intended victims, learns their secrets, and then shatters their trust by totally stabbing them in the back. She did this with Kuwabara, but, horrifyingly enough, insults, popularity games, and malicious rumors just rolled right off of Kuwabara’s back. Vivi eventually became so insane with anger that she ended up putting dishwashing detergent in Kuwabara’s drink. He recovered with hardly a hiccup, though, and since then her threats of bodily harm have been getting more and more, um… elaborate? Intense? Creative? MURDEROUS?

It’s all of the above, I’m afraid.

A little about their history:

Vivi is privileged and obsessed with being the best out there: the prettiest, the smartest, the wealthiest, the most popular, etc. Unfortunately, the longer she tries (and fails) to kill Kuwabara for being the first person to prove himself better than her (even though it was only on a single math test), the more insane she gets. When her intelligence and sneakiness failed her for the first time in her life, she had nowhere to turn but violence. He was the first person to ever stand up to her and she has no idea how to handle it.

She’ll almost kill Kuwabara eventually, but by then her anti-Kuwabara actions will have bled into the rest of her life, and she’ll be either A) locked up by human authorities, or B) killed in one of her own schemes. Chances of option C (which include recovery, redemption, or a switch to working for the good guys) are highly unlikely.

A NOTE FROM GRAPHOSPASM:

Despite just how much I love this character (I think of her as an evil Wile E. Coyote and Kuwabara as a somewhat more oblivious Roadrunner) I doubt we’ll see her in action for a long time. If we DO see her, I bet we’d get a series of one-shots that kind of mimic the format of the Wile E. Coyote cartoons, and each new chapter would detail a new bringing-down-Kuwabara scheme. XD The stories would be a cross between comedy and suspense; weird, right?

I enjoyed creating Vivisuke SO MUCH, and I had a blast drawing the picture to flesh her out. Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoyed this craziness!
