Description
This is a piece I did for ~NeoRamses featuring his very pulprific character, Ramses who can call upon the might of Ra to burn away the evil he sees before him.

In this painting, I wanted to capitalize on the pulpy feel of the character and, when it comes to pulp, nothing says it more then Nazis 9well, possibly robotic Nazi gorillas, but I'll save that beasty for another day.

The painting, however, took a lot more to complete then I thought it would. The fire proved to be infinitely more difficult then i had originally thought, even when painted digitally. While I eventually came up with a workable look for it, I'm by no means very happy with it. In the end, fire is just so damned hard to depict in a static unblinding way. I either need to find a better way of painting mass amounts of it or just work to avoid depicting it in such quantities in the future.
