thanks for the help, I've always wanted to do this background but there is one thing that did not understand, I have to paint the background first and then saturate it with water, but if i do that, there not remain the pencil lines marked on the paper? ( i explain it good? XD)
sorry for my bad english, if you dont understand please tell me to try again

Thank you for uploading this tutorial! It's been awhile since I've worked with watercolor (my teacher helped us out, so I had training wheels the last time >.<)

Wow this is very amazing and helpful! I tried to use salt with one of my watercolor paintings and it did not turn out quite right. But that was years ago. So now I will definetly try out your techniques. Thanks for sharing this!

No prob, i found its best to take a piece of scrap watercolor paper and try different ways with salt. Practice
Thankyou!

I find it really interesting that you do your background last, I normally do mine first so if I over saturate/run over lines, salt over lines, splatter over lines I can cover it a bit more Plus I find it a lot easier to apply the "atmosphere colors" into the scene. Is there any specific reason you do it last?

Honestly i have no idea why i draw the background last. LOL i dont think theres a right way of doing it but i think it probably makes more sence to do the background along with the picture.

You're right about that, my college art teachers would be yelling It's harder to work over a whole piece with water colors though... so much bleeding in happens!

That's how I do my paintings! except, I do watercolor, then color pencil, then blend with watercolor, next redefine with pencil, then a final watercolor layer.
Pretty awesome!

Honestly i do my paintings alot as you are describing. I do different things here and there. This is alittle different, i have only done my paintings like this for this one and for my Golden Egypt painting.
Thanks!!!
