Description
This is my OC, Celeste!Warning ultra long comment. xD
Remember my other character, Nezha? [link]
Well, this character is a "doll" too. In my story, there are a lot of these dolls, or artificial humans. The purpose for people to create dolls is to recreate their loved ones (family, friends, lovers..etc) who died. In order to recreate them, they need a medium. For Nezha, it was different parts of the Lotus.
People who want to make these dolls are ones who are desperate to bring their loved ones back to life. Besides a medium, they also need part of the dead person's body (ex: hair) and a piece of the "star" (nobody knows how it looks like, becaue the ones who had seen it, eventually end up dead with their souls trapped in the star). When the person dies, a "collector" comes and takes the star. Whoever has possession of the star is the owner of the doll. Dolls are usually used for fighting, because they are immortal. (No one other than the collectors know how to destroy these dolls)
There was this one very odd and anti-social kid whose family died from an accident. The only thing he had left was the pet bird that his mother bought for him when he was a boy. (He had always wanted a pet, but his sister thinks fish are too boring as pets, his mother is allergic to fur, and his father only makes enough money for a bird. So they got a bird. The whole family went and picked it out.)
The boy grew up and became a pretty well-known sculptor in his town. He spends his whole day making sculptures and only goes outside to buy food and art supplies. His main subjects are birds, or goddesses/girls with wings and feathers. Why? Because it comforts him. With his mother, father and sister dead, the bird is his only family.
Unfortunately, the bird died. But he just could not get over it.
For the next week, he did not eat or sleep. When he went outside to buy more clay, an old woman passed him by and gave him an item wrapped in a piece of cloth.
She whispered to him, "Oh my, dear boy! Quite sad, aren't we? Well, don't worry your heart out. Here, take this. And then....."
So, he wrecked the half-finished sculpture that was supposedly his next big project for his town and started on a new sculpture. This time, he made into his image of his ideal girl. He worked on it for days straight, without any food or rest. Finally, on the 13th day, he completed it.
He put a piece of cloth over the sculpture and brought it outside for the people in his town to see. At the moment that it came to life, the sculptor died. (from exhaustion)
A few yards away, behind the crowd of the people of the town who came to see the materpiece, stood an old woman. She held the "star" in her hands. She chuckled, walked away, and the sculpture flew into the air and followed her path.
LOLZ, that was long! >.<
