Description
Part of a much bigger refsheet which includes a back view, but progress has been slow as molasses, mostly because I needed to move right in the middle of the project and I am still balancing unpacking with this and other drawings, and now Christmas too. So I'm deciding to submit only the front view unshaded as a little preview of things to come (hopefully) soon.But here's a taste of the Zechite tactical crusader in his final design, showcasing the grittier, uglier and more brutal Zechite aesthetic that I think suits them way better than before, following their almost complete revamp back in September.
Tactical crusaders are literally the biggest fucking supersoldiers you'll ever meet, standing eight feet tall unarmored and a mashup of human, machine and Yakaru, bumped up to eight-and-a-half in full body armor. Canisters on abdomen dispense point-hardening armor nanites into cloth-covered armor cells (the digital camo-colored regions,) canisters on hips dispense self-repair nanites to heal the soldier and actually give him a pretty good excuse to have regenerating health if I ever put this guy in a shooter (I'm looking at you, Gears of War. "Cover and regenerate" is still for sissies, Doom/Quake armor system 4 lyfe.)
Whatever you do, don't tell him he looks like a Helghast. You'll make him cry.

Yup, although detail is really cool, you need 20-40% of undetailed space for the eye to settle on. It's a composition thing. Just a friendly tip c;
Happy holidays by the way.

thanks, I do get that criticism a lot, of my designs being nice, but a little too detailed. Any suggestions on where on the design I should smooth out some of the detail? I can easily do it with the clone stamp, layers and then painting over the edited regions.
happy holidays to you too.

I would move on and improve on the next piece. It's just a simply a design issue.
