This one is a winner, if I remember correctly.

The julia is one of my favorites. When I was in Algebra we used to make them by hand using equations and a graphing calculator. This very much reminds me of one of those flowers you find growing in tall dry grass. Do you have any kind of photo editing software? If so, tell me what, and I may be able to give you some tips on how to really make these renders pop out.

If I use any external editing software, it's only Gimp, and I only use it to recolor the background, which I don't often do. Do you have any suggestions? My fractals are all only one layer.

I use Photoshop, so I'm not exactly familiar with GIMP. You might see if there are any HDR or Vibrancy options in any o the adjustment menus. Play around with those until you find what you like. You might also mess with the shadows and highlights.
