Description
-Purebreed: A 100% pure gengar (altough 1/4 halfbreeds (gengar + HB gengar) will also look like this )-Stinker: The result of a crazed breeder pairing up a muk and a gengar, the outcome was... less than thrilling. This particular gengar is furless, and has quite the foul breath, ence the name; unfortunatly they're huggers, and crave quite a lot of attention. There were 3 kits in the litter and the breeder was forbidden from doing this ever again, and got a fine (he adopted 2 of them and gave the other to a friend). As of now, no shinies have been reported (example is hypothetical).
-Polluted: Very similar to the stinker, the only recorded litter came from the very same breeder (undeterred from the previous result). Like the Stinker it's furless, but doesn't smell as much; it has a very rough skin texture, and exceptional levitation abilities. They're considered by the vas majority of people as the ugliest gengar to date, only two were in the original litter (after that one, and another fine, the breeder finally learned his lesson, but kept the two kits). As of now, no shinies have been reported (example is hypothetical).
-Veiled: First discovered from an accidental litter, it quickly became super-popular among coordinators, and was frequently bred despite being forbidden by the authorities (due to how dangerous it can be (their ghost-type attaks are insanely strong)). After a while it became somewhat legal to breed them as companions or contest pokemon, but they're still strictly forbidden from partaking in battles. Their fur is long and silky, with a feather-like texture. At least 20 of them have been recorded as of now, no shinies have been reported (example is hypothetical).
-Elegant: First bred by a contest pokemon breeder, this one is also very loved by many coordinators, probably more than the Veiled. Despite being generally pretty gentle, they can become pretty dangerous if they feel like their trainer is being threatened; as such they are also strictly regulated (while their ghost and poison type moves aren't as strong, they are pretty good with their few psychic moves). Their fur is long and silky, with a feather-like texture. There are roughly 50 of them, with one reported shiny.
-Devil: Also called "False bomb" due to the colors. The result of a ghost-type trainer breeding two of his pokemons, thinking he could handle the result; he couldn't. This halfbreed is the most dangerous to date, only one of them was present in the litter, and it was taken from the trainer as soon as it was found out (when, upon evolving, it started causing mayhem, the trainer had his license revoked and the pokemon were rehomed). Near impossible to control (ghost-type moves are even stronger than the average Veiled's), this halfbreed is now in the hands of Agatha, one of the indigo plateau's elite 4. This one report is the only one to date, and it's breeding is severely forbidden (shiny example is hypothetical).
-Fur boa: Accidentally bred for the first time by a trainer that mistook the two pokemon in her care as males (as it turns out, one wasn't), When the litter of 4 was born it caused massive panic, due to spiritomb's horrible reputation and the previous experience with the Devil; turns out this halfbreed (despite having similar power when it comes to ghost-type moves) isn't nearly as bad or as hard to control. They're still quite dangerous, and can be kept only by skilled trainers (and are forbidden to be bred anyway). They have a long and soft fur, and often use their tail as a gimmick, they're also smaller than the average gengar. There has been another litter of 5 from another pair, so the recorded amount is of 9, no shinies have been reported (example is hypothetical).
NOTE: Halfbreeds are generally considered to be dangerous, and most species (and species combos) are strictly forbidden.
Oooh boi, did this take a while; I told you I'd remake the breed variants as well.
I tried not to go too ham on the colors/shapes this time, and used almost all different pokemons. I haven't drawn any of 'em in my style yet, so for reference:
-Muk is a very chubby lizard with only front legs
-Weezing is a sea cucumber that can inflate and float (I actually drew this one out, but it was bad, so I need to re-do it)
-Mismagius and gardevoir are birds
-Banette is a tree-dwelling mammal with very long fingers (think of the aye-aye)
-Spiritomb is a round-eared rodent with an exagerated squirrel tail.
The pattern variants are here:

and the old crossbreeds are here:

I'm going to take a break from these for a while, but know that my next target is a turtle pokemon, mostly because I want to make a softshell turtle variant.
