Inspired title, is it not?The Celestial dragon Lien, form the Temeraire series. They're as good as everyone says and better!
Lien is my favorite character, I've been meaning to draw her for awhile.
She and her design are (c) to Naomi Novik and Dominic Harman.

I have just recently started reading the Temeraire series, but I really enjoy reading the parts with Lien!

Love the fins and markings, and that head is gorgeous. I do think she is a little too skinny throughout- yes, Celestials are very serpentine, but her chest doesn't look large enough to support the big flight muscles and the rest of her body is out of proportion with her head. Beautiful work on the coloring and shading and the indication of scales.

Thank you very much. I find that my heads are always slightly larger than the body. the ruff makes it look big, too.
