Taken last February. I was able to follow this bee around for a little while. I actually ended up doing quite a bit to this photo. Here's the original: [link]I messed around with the color in the background. The brown felt a little bit too... dirty. I think this is much more eye-pleasing. What do you guys think?

I really like the closeness and how the depth of field makes it so that the main subject matter stands out a bit more. The framing is fantastic, especially with the flower on the right and the bee to the left.
It's interesting how you've managed to capture it in flight with the motion/movement clearly portrayed to us from the wings and all...

I really like the cropping of it, especially the focus on the bee. And I agree: The brown makes it a bit too "dirty." I also love the movement of the bee that you captured. The wingbeats are so cute! :3
Not only that, the color scheme is very pleasing to the eye. The orange-yellow contrasts the purple nicely, and the bee only adds to the effect.

I really like the way it turned out, brown wouldn't have been fitting as background. By the way, great choice of title for this deviation
