Another fake comic cover idea I had at 5 in the morning. Amazing what a lack of sleep will make you create.I'm not sure what happened here. The image hit me and I had to get it down on virtual paper.

That said... Fucking wow. Everything with Belle, I love, clearly, and this (despite the horrific image) I adore.
I LOVE the retro Β comic spots in the background; I think it works SO well, and it just looks cool. It's a great reference to classic black/white comics AND it also gives this drawing an edge; a really cool detail somehow making the drawing a tad darker and gritty. The INFLATABELLE title is brilliant and I love how it even freaking looks like balloons. I am in love with the Bad Day title font, for some reason... Just... Perfectly gritty.
This is a horrible image, but a freaking GREAT drawing!

Originally she was going to be stuck on a jagged rock, implying that that had punctured her. However, this was more 'what if'ish. How did she get there? Did she pop on the pole?
Did some bad guy puncture her and run her up the flag pole?Β
It was just an idea for a popped Belle shot that turned into an exercise.

Don't worry everyone! Β If "Death of Superman" and the countless superhero "deaths" that happened since then have taught me anything, it's that she'll be back good as new in a couple of months or so thanks to alien biology or parallel universe clones or a magic amulet or SOMETHING. yeah the story is pretty fun with all the bloaty shenanigans..it has been intense here and there but this surprising amount of gore is pretty much new O.o
