So if Fluttershy is in her late sixties or fifties, how old is discord and butterscotch? or is flutters not as old as she looks? One more question. Who is butterscotches dad and when is this comic coming out?

Assuming the ponies age like us humans do, I'm guessing Fluttershy in the show is in her late teens-early twenties (I think one of the people who works on the show stated the characters' ages, but I can't find the post). So if that's true then this would take place around forty years from now when Fluttershy's in her sixties 
As I stated in the write-up , Butterscotch's dad died :V

why did you did you decide to make discord physically older? i mean he is immortal so he wouldn't age, well, not in any way we know of.

Part of my headcanon for Luna is that the years caught up to her after she was freed from her imprisonment in the moon (which would explain the change in her appearance between season 1 and 2). In my head Discord has a "default" appearance (how he looks in the show), and something similar would've happened to him; he would just change his appearance depending on what kind of company he's in (I'm saying he shows his old self just around friends).
That, and it would be easier to sell the idea that the comic was happening some years down the road if everypony who appeared in it was older, too

On the issue of him being "immortal"; I have a headcanon built around the draconequui that says he isn't (see it here ).
That said; in my head Discord does age, he just doesn't age like a normal being. Congruent with the headcanon I'm building, his "default" appearance shows age but his physical prowess will stay the same until he stops being useful. Also as stated in the write-up in this , he's recently been instated as Equestrian royalty after he's calmed down a bit, so he might change his appearance to appear as a competent ruler and not a senile old man

aha, i think i get it, againΒ very like Gaimans "Endless". and aspect of the endless "dies" or the embodiment of it "dies", but the idea, the aspect lives on, and is replacet with a newΒ embodiement that has all the knowlegde the previouse one had. i think Dream of the endless said it best himself "iΒ have existed since the beginning of time. this a true thing. I am older than worlds and suns andΒ gods... but tomorrow i will meet my brother and sister for the first time...." Β Β Β Β Β

I've had people say my draconequus headcanon sounds like Neil Gaiman's novels at least twice now 
And yeah, the "universal concepts" would still exist after an Embodiment dies, but memories wouldn't be passed down like they are in the Endless.

i wonder if discord and his offspring will retain their sanity when and after fluttershy's passing or if they'll both spiral into utter 'chaos' with the loss of fluttershy. as would be their inherent nature. also when i look at fluttershy here i dont see an old pony, as much at a late 40s, early 50s mom who's aged quickly from puting up with a shit ton of stress over the years that dischord and their offspring. this hits sortof close to home for me in some ways, hence why i tend to naturaly interpret it this way. very good btwΒ ~favs~

I feel I should mention that Discord isn't Butterscotch's dad
And when I drew Fluttershy here I pictured her as being in her mid-to-late sixties, though looking like she's somewhere around eighty because horses age faster than we do. Not too sure about what would happen when she dies, though; I'm picturing Discord coming close to snapping a few times but then Butterscotch comes in and saves him before he loses it completely

Seeing old Fluttershy kinda makes me a bit sad, but then seeing Discord by her side instantly lightens up my heart a bit, just thinking of him staying by her side and helping her
