OKay I just saw this Picture again on the right site under "More from Griffsnuff" and... I just had to take a look again at this Picture because I'm still so stunned and amazed how awesome it looks?!
The depth in the picture, the light, really everything here looks so gorgeous 
I apologize for this random comment on such an old picture but, I just always love to see Full Art from you? You are just such an talented Artist and as I said, it always amazes me how you are able to do such incredible and gorgeous art in such a quick time actually ;O;
It also kinda reminds me of a picture from an Point & Click Adventure Game? Gosh, I'm sorry but but... I just LOVE it XD Guess I will stop now or this comment is going to be too long X)

The mysterious atmosphere here is great! The way the darkness leads the viewer into the depth of that trail is so haunting!

How do you make the background "out of focus" in sai?

the out of focus part was a small box blur in photoshop, but you can achive that with the blur in sai with a big sized watercolor.
The depth is just going from simple nondetailed gradients to more contrasts and details
