I present to you my splendid Steampunk Grandfather Clock, a mechanical delight! This OOAK fantasy piece is in 1:12 dollhouse scale and stands 7 6/8” tall x 2 ¼” wide x 1 ¼” deep.

The wooden clock has an opening door, vintage clock gears, and is very ornate. Among all the bells and whistles are rivets, springs, chains, large and small gears, Florentine dragons, fleur-de-lis medallions, and toggle buttons. I make my Steampunk themed miniatures from found objects and my current jewelry findings, so each piece is truly one of a kind!

The clock has a pewter tone with rusted patina that is complimented by bits of silver and gold. After building the miniature, I sprayed it matte black. This was dry brushed with dark nickel then ink washed in both black and chestnut. It was then dry brushed again with silver.
