May I be the first to say that this is a wonderful depiction of Jonathan. I loved what they did with the series and it was enough to make me want to seek out the book. Your artwork is charming.

Aww thank you!
The book has been on my to-read list for forever but now that I've seen the series I have finally started to get some actual reading done : )

Me too! A lot of people have said that the footnotes are annoying and that it's a dry read, but I'm finding it quite pleasant. It fits the era I think.

I don't know how anybody could think it dry - it's so full of humor, and the language is so lovely and descriptive! Also I'm used to foornotes because I'm a huge Terry Pratchett fan and he was really rather fond of them.

You said it! I guess everyone's taste is different, but armed with what I thought was knowledge (about the 'dry' read), I dived in and found it to be totally different. They do say that fantasy with a grounding in reality is more relatable. Can't agree more and this book proves it, footnotes and all!
