Description Though with Hishathi it'd be more like "Remove self from lawn, Askay!" Doesn't have half the ring to it. Anyways, this is a redo of a quick picture I did in graphic arts during the school year; Askay has, yet again, wandered in to the hydroponics bay where they're not welcome. I'm intending to paint it at some point and give it to my mom, thus the lines don't have the width variation I'd normally give them. Enjoy!

N'awww xD
And I have to say I prefer "Remove self from lawn", though. It's just hilarious for some reason. Especially if shouted in anger. And Askay is just so adorable, as usual.
(By the way, have you decided on what to call them, rather than having to write s/he every time? Maybe you should just pick either 'she' or 'he' as the universal word to use, otherwise I can see that getting annoying.)

Haha, I'm glad you like it. I guess there are a few intonations where that phrasing would work well, too.

As for what to call them, after a bit of reading I am fairly inclined to go with the singular "they". It takes a bit of getting used to at first but feels fairly natural after, and it's becoming more widely accepted as a genderless pronoun.

In-universe, though, as I'd been imagining the linguist on the station points out--they don't really have gendered pronouns, so whatever you use kinda gets lost in translation. It's better to go with whatever pronoun comes naturally to you on an individual basis rather than try to backtrack and stumble over things. I'm also thinking of having some of the Hosts that pay attention decide to choose one pronoun or another that they'd prefer. And "she" or "they/it" would likely be most common. Motherhood and parenting in general are dominant concepts in many Host societies, and many of their values are closer to what we've historically considered a "feminine" mindset.
