This piece is well drawn but lacks originality a bit. It's decently shaded but I suggest working on it like lighting. Your technique for the grass and markings are effective because that's how I would image it drawn in your style. Your impact out of 10 would be 6 because the drawing is fine I just think that more lighting or shading could be done to the background to make it a little more eerie because if you were trying to provoke a little fear, a darker atmosphere would set that perfectly. Another thing I will comment on is the colours of the creature because in my opinion it blends in too much with the background setting.
I hope this doesn't get you down you worked hard on this and it turned out great!
