I finally figured out my new scanner! 8D Oh happy daaaaay
Honestly, I'm REALLY nervous about this one. <8l A lot of experimenting went on.
Alright then, well this is my contest entry for the GTcentral contest.
The song that goes along with it is "Falling Slowly" from Once. [link] It's such a beautiful song! Heartbreaking though. I gotta apologize, this is so uncharacteristic of me to draw sad things! P.S. The small box comes first

But yeah. So many questions! Why's he being shot at? How'd he get that cut on his head? Who's the girl? How'd she get in the tree?
I'm guessing that they're friends, and the guy used to be normal-sized. They probably go to the same college. One day, the guy (Who I'm gonna refer to as Franklin from now on) didn't have any evening classes. He was excited, because he knew the girl (Sarah) had off as well.
However, she (A... chemistry major?) was working at the lab that day. After looking all around, he finally found her in some room by herself, working with some vials and tubes and whatever. She had a vial in her hand, and was so caught up in her work that she didn't notice him entering the room.
He took it out of her hand and drank some.
I'm not sure why someone'd drink anything in a lab, but that's how these stories start. When he started growing, she (after yelling at him for drinking it :v) told him to start running out of the building to make sure he wouldn't break through the ceiling. He just barely made it out, but... uh, scraped his face on the way out. Maybe he hit the exit sign that hangs from the ceiling. From there, he sat down on the field behind the science place, and just went "o_O wtf is goin on"
She explains that she was working on a growth serum to end world hunger, or whatever weirdo reason anyone'd have for doing such a thing. When asked if she has any shrink serum she says, well, not yet.
He freaks out for a good while, until she explains that she could try and make one. He calms back down, says "gogogogo", and she goes back in to give it a shot.
Meanwhile, he's left outside. There's probably a cute scene where some children walk by, and they decide to play with him. Maybe they'd use his shoelaces as jumping rope, or he could take off his overshirt, and play blanket tossing with them. Or. Or... Uhhh. You get the point.
Anyway, one of the kids runs away with fear at the sight of him. He tells his mother, who's been preparing for the day of the giant invasion. She calls the... army, I guess, and tells them of a ruthless, dangerous giant who nearly beat up her son. Now, see, the army has also been preparing for this, and sends in the troops.
Back at the lab, Sarah hears some rumbling, and the building shakes just a little. She runs out to see Franklin at the bottom of a hill, with grass stains on his back, laughing. One of the kids next to him sees Sarah looking all mad, and points behind Franklin going "Uh oh..."
He looks up at her, and tries to explain that he was just rolling down the hill with the kids. She tells him that he needs to be more careful. He tells her she's overreacting. Figuring that exaggerating would work, she tells him that if he keeps that up, the army'd show up and start attacking him.
So the army shows up and starts attacking him. He scoops her up, and runs off to the forest. Helicopters or something are still shooting at him, but the branches and trunks always get in the way. Out of breath, he stops running, and puts her in a tree.
He says it'd be best if he just surrendered. Then your picture happens.
He's still alive. Matter of fact, it barely pierced his skin. But the wind had been knocked out of him something awful, and he's lying on the ground.
The army guy (Let's call him Chuck) shows up, and says some military stuff. Helicopters start lowering Giant RopeTM to trap him. Franklin turns his head, and sees the forest ablaze. He looks back to Chuck and says "Was it worth it?"
Sarah probably climbs down and starts berating Chuck. He, being the thick-skulled type, says that she should be thanking him for saving her from the horrible man-eating, boy-beating-up-ing giant. Then more stuff happens.
so there's some big moral of "don't roll down hills or the army will blow up a forest" or something

Rest of the story is mah imagination, you say? Right. Let's kick the story machine into overdrive and make somebody somewhere in the world cry in a totally unrelated event. I also have to try to write from a female point of view.......... uh... okay... here goes nothin':
He fell away from me as the missile hit. God... Respitt.... He was gonna die....
But.. I said I wouldn't let him die... that I wouldn't let them take him... and they did! He hit the ground, but.. he was trying to get up. there was only a little blood pouring from him, but... he still looked like he was in unbelievable pain. I quickly shot down the tree, and climbed up onto him, pressing my face into his stomach, begging him not to die. It kept going.... bullets whizzed by me, and he was going into shock. We were surrounded. I didn't want to die. I must've been crying, because he placed his hand over me, quietly asking me not to... it went limp on me at that point, and he hacked up a whole lot of blood. The bullets stopped. One man dropped his rifle at the sight of it. My giant was dead... but he wouldn't let me go with him.
