Both are great in their own terms. Yohrm was amazing character, his lore is one of the coolest in all Dark souls 3. Alone ruler who protect people that never trusted him to keep profaned flame in the capital, knowing that one day it will profane even him, so he gave two Storm rulers to the people to slay him. One for people he protected and one for his best friend. True greatness.
But I prefer Ivory king. His lore about being one of the greatest knights of Forossa (land of true badasses) who always draw his sword to protect innocent and creating entire kingdom to protect outside world from old chaos is enough to say that he is probably the truest hero in souls series. He was so good that he make child of the abyss become good, not only that but also he saw what only probably Dusk felt when she was kidnapped by Manus, she is not truly evil. He marry her and even let her rule Eleum Loyce when he had to throw himself in flames when he felt his own slow depravation. And even there when he lost his mind he still remembered Alsanna who's name he screams when he dies. True hero that world of Dark souls truly needed, but the question is, did they deserve him? Or Yohrm?
Oh and BTW, awesome art, but Ivory king is left handed, like Artorias. So he's basically reincarnated Artorias which is more awesome.

Ivory king was a hero who planned to be as such and acted in consequence, that's as true as epic.
But i still prefer Yhorm because he's just a humble giant. He had nothing at the start, nothing at the middle and nothing at the end, only a good, humble, bumbling and a bit incompetent knight of Catarina as a very normal friend. He didn't trust his life on a hero, or courtesans, or priests, or mages, or sages... he trust the weapon which could put him at his knees to a common folk who acted with normalcy even after becoming undead.
That's the very definition of trust on the people who didn't trust him in return: Siegward was the one who represented all of them.

Yhorm was very good character indeed, his story was sad and his relationship with Siegward endearing, but in my opinion Ivory king is better in terms of lore. Still I respect your opinion.
