Holy *cow*! When I saw this I thought sure it was a photo image! It's so realistic, from the way the fur lays to the gleam in the eye and on the nose. I can almost imagine what it would feel like to reach out and pet her.

Gosh, thank you so much!! I don't do much realistic painting, but I used the color picker A LOT and SAI has some brushes that make for some good fur tufts which was a big help. I'm flattered

AAAA thank you so much!! This is such a sweet and flattering comment ;o; I used the default PaintTool SAI brush textures for most of it! "Rough flat" brush or something like that? Then part of the way through I downloaded some brushes and textures, but I used basically the same thing!

This was a 4-year-old WIP I dug up to finish only recently. I can't remember how long I spent on it in total, but I'd guess at least a dozen hours or so?? This was really experimental for me since I don't do much realism so there was a lot of trial and error :')
