This is a great picture! This embalming table is a pretty old one, ours is not quite so old... the new ones are usually metal... but these tables definitely give that creepy feel to them.. I guess lolz Like an "antique" funeral home hehe

How cool is this? I've always wanted to be inside a funeral home, to peer around and stuff. Because it's one of the thankless jobs of our society, and a forgotten one at that, but it still needs be done.

I'm studying to become an embalmer. It's funny how some people see those kind of things, for me it's just what it is.

an embalming table.
lol

But I love the entire series,
There's something really creepy about the pictures you took, maybe the light, anyway you did a great job ^^

How did you get the autorization to photograph this morgue?

a friend of mine was shooting scenes for a film there. he just mentioned his ideas for the scenes to the manager and he got really excited and allowed him to do it

How does a morgue smell?
How is the sound of it?

hmm, it was a few months ago, but i dont remember it smelling bad. just smells of old furniture and storage. the embalming room was cleaned for the filming, there weren't any open chemicals, but it still had a chemical odor to it. it wasn't so much of a morgue as an embalming table in one room, a cooler with bodies on stretchers, and the rest being storage. we didn't do anything in the cooler other than open the door and peer in. it's creepily quiet, but you hear people moving things in other rooms and you don't know what they are moving or what the sounds are.

This entire series has creeped me out, from the first picture of the embalming machine with the flowers.
If this was the desired effect, as I suspct it was, congratulations sir!
