You adjust for proportions as you tighten up the drawing.

dear gurukitty, I wish I could cry over this. Honestly, I personally also HATE these "How-to"-books because they really show you nothing. Teenagers get quite fast results, but they don't learn anything about how to reproduce what's really in their heads.

I use structures like this for such a long time already, and people always ridiculed about it, saying it's absolutely unnecessary work. But in the end they were always amazed by MY results, unhappy about their own and wondering why they aren't able to draw hands...

There are only a few artists on DevArt who go out of their way to create awesome tutorials like this one. Sadly, they are often overlooked, as are artists who create stock for the artistic creativity of others.

I would like to take a moment, to thankyou guruubii and gurukitty, for creating such an awesome tutorial.

Loved the goose wings, I have been struggling to find decent spread wingspans, and you have nailed it right on the head for me. Full credit to your picture will be posted when I complete my drawings.

Thanks again +)

Bear so cute! X3
I really love the tips with over lapping. Hopefully it's help steer that common anime "smoothness" away. ^^
