It's been a few weeks since I drew Ryuko Tatsuma because it was my first time drawing her at that time. This time, I felt that I made improvements with her. I chose to draw Ryuko as Antonio Canova's "Pauline Borghese as Venus Victrix" because of the impeccable beauty. Ryuko's Hero name is Ryukyu since she's ranked ninth in the Hero Billboard Chart, and she employs Nejire from the Big 3 and Ochako and Tsuyu from Class 1-A as interns during the Shie Hassaikai arc in the anime. I haven't drawn Venus Victrix in over a year because I had other drawings since then, but I managed to end the drought with Ryuko. For the background, I added in the colors from this year's Breeders' Cup Distaff winner Blue Prize. Midnight Bisou came to the Distaff as a heavy favorite with a great chance to secure Horse of the Year after winning seven races this year while Blue Prize came out to the Distaff by successfully defending and winning the Spinster a few weeks back. After the gate opened, Blue Prize had a slow start, and she had to go close to the rear as Serengeti Empress set the pace as expected. By the 1/2 mile, Blue Prize pinned in after picking up ground from her slow start with Midnight Bisou close by. Blue Prize began to gobble up with a 3-wide move as Serengeti Empress continued to lead. That was until Blue Prize got the lead, but Midnight Bisou started to gain ground. However, Blue Prize held off Midnight Bisou's late run and won the Distaff by a length and a half as she improved from her 4th place finish at Churchill Downs last year. That ride got jockey Joe Bravo his 1st Breeders' Cup win after 21 attempts. It was magical for the mare's trainer, Ignacio Correas, IV, with his win since they came from Argentina. Finally, Bayakoa and Paseana did win the Distaff in 1989-1990 and 1992, respectively, and were born in Argentina like Blue Prize. Less than 18 hours later, John Best from OXO Equine brought the mare for $5 million at the Fasig-Tipton Kentucky November sale, effectively ending the racing career for the mare. I wanted to add classicism with Venus Victrix since Ryukyu looks so beautiful. However, I had to draw Ryukyu from the back because I didn't want to show her exposed breasts despite the classical nudity. In addition, I think that I chose to draw Ryukyu partly because of her hair. Personally, I can be happy that I drew Ryuko much better as I could need some constructive criticisms. I can hope that Minoru doesn't look at the statue's nudity if he had the chance since he's lecherous. Overall, I feel that Ryukyu looks classy and beautiful as the Venus Victrix while being a lovely Pro Hero.
