Description You see, I actually started to draw very often - every second day, which is way more than any time before. (I even draw at work on night shift >_>) But this is most Lightbringer-like picture of Lightbringer I managed so far, that guy is impossible to draw.

I think that it's because he doesn't want me to show him The thing being that he is a spy, head of The Net - secret service or intelligence agency (whatever you want to call it), so it's natural for him to remain hidden.

Whatever the reason, he doesn't look himself on any picture and here we were both so tired of this chase that he showed but couldn't help looking pissed and talking sarcasm.

Just wait Light of my life, I will nail you
Because I can't get him out of my head ¬_¬
Love him anyway

That look of total disinterest is hilarious. And if he ever talked that way to Ailyan, he got his due. Not scolding, no. I think Ailyan would profoundly apologize to have called him, sit him down in his own chair and continue to cater to his every imaginable whim (except THAT one!) without allowing him to talk business. This would continue until Lightbringer admits he gets it already (can we move on, please?) or gets angry and walks out. In the latter case he would get called back, though... I hope this kind of behaviour wouldn't bring about any bodily threats to my favourite king.
Oh yes, Ailyan can be a pain in the behind if he wants to.

No, siell, he wouldn't. He loves his favorite king way too much for that, plus Ailyan is not trying to make him do something that is essentially wrong for him This is just him, being him around me specifically.
But I can tell you that if such encounter you described ever occurred he would drag it pretty long way because he would be curious how far will Ailyan go. and he would talk to him about anything but work. You see, big weakness of this plan is, that it's so rare of a situation that he would enjoy it too much Why would he get angry? It's pretty hard to make him angry if you are not idiot who leads Orian to unnecessary war

True. In the opposite, Ailyan understands the works behind the scenes a bit too much. (Hmm, being originally one of the best spies nishiiri of his House, the one area in which he could push Lightbringer a bit too far might be that he'd want to know too much about how the intelligence works.)

Now that would be a fun contest of wills. And the outcome would depend on whether Ailyan would have something (relatively) urgent and long to discuss or not, because he would probably start to enjoy it, too. In case the matter could wait for another day, it's quite possible they would never get to work because they would be too busy playing the game.

These two are a match made in Heaven, and not even a romantic one.

Exactly.
If Ailyan asked too much about how the intelligence works, it might end with quite bold question with a bit of a sarcasm from Lightbringer. Something like: "That is something only -I- know and you know that. Shall I find new suitable husband for the queen so you can join the Net as my apprentice and probable successor?"

Yes, that might be mighty fun But we already established that the starting situation wouldn't happen. What a shame

Oh yes, match made in Heaven He is easily the best king he ever had the luck to serve to. I think he mourned a long, long time for him...
Which makes me think of his descendants and very interesting question... We never got anywhere near Lyan actually ruling, or meeting Lightbringer. That could be very... nightmare of a couple, really. And I would like to know how would these two work together. Wanna play?

The reply to this would greatly depend on how long they know each other by now.

On the other hand, the "what can I do for you?" scene (much less recognizably sarcastic, though) could take place as part of Ailyan's starting game, when he played the total airhead so well that he tricked even Lightbringer.

Oh... Oops. A paranoid king anxious to be shown respect versus Lightbringer. Ouch. We might yet uncover some nasty turn in Lyan's rule if we play this, siell... He won't trust Lightbringer. Not at the beginning, a long beginning, and who knows if ever.
