(although this grey thingie reminds me of a tick, when it's really sucked full of blood - one of the few animals i find really disgausting...)

iΒ΄ve been very ill towards the end of the last year - an auto immune reaction, which means that the body sort of fights against itself, which means there are open wounds that donΒ΄t heal... i have to take heavy medicine which helps a lot - iΒ΄m doing well now, but iΒ΄m still not through - anyway, i have to take these fat pills and i had a slightly disgusted feeling when doing so - i didnΒ΄t quite know why, until one day i realized, that these fat grey, round, glistening pills look almost exactly like fat, grey round, glistening ticks, blach!!! but since i realized it, i take them with an "oblique" grin....

haha... oh boy, our dogs and even we had ticks this year - there are only few animals i really don't like - ticks are defintely among them...

I don't know if I could handle having ticks in my house.Β YUK - Those things carry disease and can be miserable for dogs cats and humans.Β Do you live in the south?Β I know FL is full of those damn things.Β I am in Texas

that's why i immediately take them off and destroy them whenever i see or feel one (in dog's fur for instance)...
i'm in northern germany where we are lucky not to have too many of them and only few which carry diseases - a friend of mine once had problems with that - it got worse until he couldn't even move his left arm anmore - then he realized that it came from a tick and went to a doctor to cure it - it took about one year all in all...
before i moved to here i lived in an area where it had grass mites or so called "bean scabies" - it was TERRIBLE and yucky to the limit... you lay down in the grass and they sort of jumped onto you and went into your skin... so you started scratching and it got worse - you couldn't wash them off because they drilled into your skin... they went into the folds between your legs and under your arms - when you had tough luck they covered sort of your whole body... all you could do is to take really heavy chemical stuff to get rid of them... i once had to do that, i couldn't even sleep anymore, the urge to scratch held me awake, and the chemicals made me ill for one week - but then i was cured...

The "Bean Scabies" .. Wow sounds awful.Β I thought of Chiggers when I read that.Β Chiggers make you scratch so bad that you want to scream.
We used to get them when we were kids and would roll around in the grass playing and OMG the itching would start immediately.Β My Grand Mother used to put this pink stuff on them to stop the itching and to keep us kids from scratching.Β Β

oh, by the way, my horse is not my horse anymore, had to give her away... but we recently visited her and she is not dead at all... 
she is in a gorgeous shape and looked very content...
