Btw, what paper did you use? Because I used watercolor paper, but I don't think you can use markers on watercolorpaper....or can I?

Small question though: Are those markers waterbased? They do look like alcohol based markers, but I normally get a rather weird reaction of the watercolors, if I use alcohol based markers before watercolors. O_o I'm really curious how you avoid that. Different paper maybe?

yes, they are alcohol based, as you can see I used the markers in the flowers before watercolors and it gives a nice effect, but sometines if you use watercolors with a lot of water it could turn odd D: but to avoid this I try any new combination fo watercolor-marker in a different part of the paper (that would be cut later)

Interesting. I normally have the paper absorb water in a different way, which makes it nearly impossible to judge if the color is right or not.

I use Marquilla of 54k, is not a nice paper as Winsor&Newton or Canson, but I like it because you can use crayons, markers, paint, charcoal, watercolor and pastel in it, and it is easy to find

W&N is good, but quite often smaller brands have a different quality of paper that is just perfect for certain effects.
