This lineart [link] has been pestering me to color it for about a year now. (My friend Razzie got to it first, and pwned it epically; Behold: [link] )So I'm taking at his word, and going ahead... Hope you like it! Check out his gallery -- he has a very interesting and unique style. I hope to get to color more of his stuff in the future.

OK. I tried some fun stuff here. It kinda messed up the lineart a little, because I can't control it nearly as well as the colors (Sorry, Xyxus!!), but I got out my metallic silver, and had FUN. I also did something else I've never tried before, where I used colored pencils extensively to outline the characters in red and blue. The scanner hashed it, but what else is new? It really looked cool. The real thing of this is a lot of fun to look at - it changes according to the light; and the pencils add a lot of depth.

I'm in a phase where I don't want to angst and angst over the things I color, so I did not do a mockup for this. I didn't even start over when I realized I'd unthinkingly colored Prime's upper legs dark blue. Oops! I should know better! But I kinda like the way they stand out from Meggy's greenish-gray this way. You can definitely see the blue through the white colored pencil, but Imma post it anyway. (Again, forgive me, Xyxus!)

Yes, it did take me a long time to be able to color this without cringing. This is the best fighting pose I've seen in maybe ever for sheer visceral reality. The artist must know wrestling, or something, because I really don't know how Prime's gonna get outta this one... It actually causes my stomach to clench in empathic desperation.
