I think that what I see is the general message of escape and sadness that dwells from the painting. Surely I cant guess how you personally felt. what I see is an eye walking away from light, walking away from sight into darkness. the eye seem rather lazy and willing to let itself destroyed by choosing the easiest way, the way of abandon. No matter how tired one can be, one always ignore the unexplored resources in one's heart and mind.
