Description Photo by *eckyducky www.sarahwalkerphotos.com

Back in June 2008 I posted this photo, also by *eckyducky :

A couple of days ago it was again hot, I was again with *eckyducky and again had covered my arm with writing so we decided to re-shoot.

This is the result.

Sorry for the silence. I'm making a shit load of theatre and it is really hard at the moment so it has my complete attention. I'm just about to run off to rehearsals.

I hope you are all well. Tell me about something you love.

Thank you! *eckyducky always takes the best photos of me. Probably because we are so comfortable together.

This is like two shots cunningly blended into one enormously entertaining image. Everything's so quiet and still. You're dead centre in the frame, right arm correctly balanced by the rails and panels of the wood fence. You face the camera quite placidly, glasses ever so slightly akimbo. Your expression is ambiguous: it could any second break into a huge goofy grin... or could reproach Ms. Ducky to take the f**king shot already, so you can dry your hair.

Then, from stage right, someone appears to be turning a full-force fire hose in your direction. The symmetrical composition is shot completely to Hell. We're almost ducking, figuring we're certain to be drenched by the deflected spray. Is that immaculately applied lipstick we see? Not for long, my dear!

Lovely, as always!
I love the particular kind of exhaustion that comes from working really hard on something you're passionate about.

That IS lovely. In a very satisfying way.

I love seeing silly shots like this, waking up with a darling mini monster kitten on my chest, long walks in quiet unpopulated areas, fighting with you over amanda palmers hand in marriage, and running up to a random stranger and trying to get them to play tag.

also...I see no writing all over your arm in this shot. This makes me sad.

Ha! I love the idea of trying to get strangers to play tag! That is rad.

The other shot from this set shows the writing!

Thank you! The water is so very rad. I love that it looks like an ice spear.

I love wandering around semi-aimlessly with my camera on warm summer days, especially towards the evening, catching the light and the things that lie waiting for me. I love returning home just as the evening chill begins to set in after the sun has set and the light is rapidly fading, coming inside to the warmth and looking over the images. I love summer, really, and I'm jealous that you have it now

I hope the rehearsals go well!

Summer here can get pretty oppressive! I'm not sure how much you would enjoy an Australian summer. Although I think we've given up on Summer now and Melbourne is pretty wintery. A lot of rain and hail and blistering winds. Although you probably wouldn't call them blistering. You would probably be out wearing shorts and t-shirt.

Haha! Given my penchant for wearing T-shirts in the middle of the English winter, I think you're right about that. You're probably correct about your summers too, though. I struggle with temperatures above about 25 degrees C, so I fully suspect I'd be sleepless and exhausted after a few days of it!

Currently here we are having rain, rain, and more rain. With some hail occasionally, which I prefer personally.

We are doing pretty darn well at rain right now also. You probably wouldn't be impressed but we are having a lot of days which don't go above 11 degrees (I hear your scoff from here) and up at my grandmother's place, the wind comes right off the Baw Baw mountains and arrives with ice on its breath. I swear it! I can see those English eyes rolling but it is darn well hardcore!

I am shocked by the sound of these positively arctic temperatures! ;D Still more rain here, with extra wind added in for fun. Our summer has been and gone apparently :S

Oh shuddup you. We've done some 9 degree ones too and 2 degree nights! Anything? Any hardcore points?

Hardcore points can only be gained if you shaved your head and went outside without a shirt on. That is an actual event from my own past; it was rather fun at the time!

....oookaayyy, so I'll let you have a few. It's all relative, after all!
