Description

This lesson is available for ms paint and comes with tips and tricks too.
For BEGINNERS/ STARTER MS PAINT USERS.

The lessons are free  but please show me your results <3 ^^
And of course it would be nice to give me THE CREDIT^^

YOU need to use steps from the first lesson so look back there when you can't seem to figure it out

step 1: open ms paint on your device.
Step 2: download a base you would like to use by pushing the download button on the right. (base must be MS paint friendly )
Step 3: copy the downloaded picture to paste in into paint.
Step 4: Paste the picture into paint by pushing the buttons ctrl + v at the same time. (ctrl + v means paste and is an easy trick to use).
Step 5: Use all the colouring steps from the first lesson to colour the body colour & eye colour.
Step 6: Click on the pen/pencil button to draw on the manes, it's the first small button in the middle (6 small buttons).
Step 7: Use another colour then black to draw the manes. (you don't want the eye lashes to be coloured too).
Step 8: Start with drawing his/her mane and draw over the body lines.
Step 9: Use the bucket to colour the inside of the manes white. (the button next to the pencil). Warning see the red cross? you need to draw a white line first to cut of the purple line otherwise the body outlines will become white too
Step 10: Draw some lines inside the white area to create multi coloured hair (or just draw one line to get a Pinkie/AJ effect but colour the mane 1 colour).
Step 11: Colour the manes in the colours you like but remember to make the outline a bit darker then the main colour you use
Step 12: You have finished drawing the hair you can now use this technique to draw your own mane & tail <3

I'm just wondering, how does one use a pony base without any of the fine details?

Aw, well I found one a looong time ago when I was a quite beginner. Although that was the only one I have ever used because I kinda have figured everything out by myself
But I have to ask: do you use pencil or brushes? As I can see from your drawings, you also dont seem to use the curve tool. Its not a bad thing though, as it can be handy when using more complicated programs. And your freehand mane/tail etc. drawings are better than an average beginner, in my opinion

I have figured everything out myself too
Pencil but somethimes i do use brushes too.
No i don't use the curve tool i still have to learn quite a lot things too (i have no idea about the curve tool).
Unless it the thing where you can bow lines to curve them (then i don't like it haha).
But that's just personal XD.
I never use other programs then paint ^^'
Thank you <3

Aha, I see :3 I myself am quite fond of using the curve tool.(Yes it does the thing you said)  But I have learned not to make everything with it and sometimes I add things by myself also. I agree that it isnt always the best tool.
I would suggest you to try paint.net, it is completely free. It has quite a variety of tools and options. Certainly better than paint and you can also draw with pencil in it as well as select wheter it is pixelated or not. I still prefer paint, though because I have gotten used to it so it is just a little suggestion if you want to try any other drawing program

I think my skills aren't good enough for the curve tool.
Thanks for the idea <3
