Description Yay! Colors!

So. This is... old now. I've been working (on and off) on a project since the beginning of summer, but I don't know if I'll ever actually finish it. So, in case it never comes out, here's the colored version of Point Taken [link] for all the kind people who asked for it.

P.S. The reason for the border: it's supposed to be a photograph. Should the finished product ever come out, you'll see why.

Thank you! I like these two, because I see a great deal of humor in their competitive, tentative friendship. Like, I don't see Snape as always brooding, or McGonagall as hating him for any great length of time. After a few years, I think her maternal side would have come out, and been frustrated by his barbs, and turned into this prickly sort of affection between them. It would make a great deal of fun. I have the feeling they were always bothering each other about the superiority of their respective houses.

I'm kind of in love with McGonagall's robes. Just, the drapery and the pattern and... yum! Also, the subject makes be giggle so hard. If only McGonagall would dish and decimate points with the same ruthlessness Snape does..

I love tartan! I mean, it was deathly to draw, but I've got some Scottish blood in me, so I made a special effort to get it right.
McGonagall and Snape were the two hard-asses (pardon) of the school, and they both were infamous for their point distribution and reduction. I think they were well matched. (Though not - and this is just my opinion - romantically... They were sort of antagonistic friends at a point, I think.)

I am totally all for rambling XD Snape/McGonagall a romantic pairing is too off for me (I literally did a dance with my book when Snape/Lily was made canon). I love their rivalry and this picture captures it perfectly.

Oh, good! I'm glad I didn't scare you off! The Prince's Tale remains one of my favorite chapters. It's the real heart of the story. I knew there had to be more to Snape than a sharp, wounded ego (as our first viewing of his worst memory originally indicated)! But his understanding-almost-not-quite-friendship with McGonagall really helps to round out his character in his later years, apart from Lily. <3
