Pokemon trainer Ariel is a spoiled and self-absorbed kid who collects tons of stuff she doesn't really need. She'd like to collect Gym Badges and Ribbons too, but she has way too little patience to concentrate on training pokemon so she doesn't do too well on that front. Since her family is wealthy she spends money at an alarming pace, and her father has started to think actions to get her in line.I have no idea how morning light should work and I couldn't find good reference or tutorials either, so this doesn't resemble my plan in the least. Plus the room didn't turn out nearly as messy as I had wanted, and I run into a surprising problem: I can't imagine buying stuff I don't specifically need, so I had serious trouble thinking of useless ornaments for her to own. So I mostly just ended up drawing plushies and boxes that contain her collections. But I think I still like this quite a lot, it was great fun to draw and perspective worked out and surprisingly well.

I can't believe how much stuff in her room I really want.
The Milotic curtains, Psyduck slippers, Huntail trash can, Chinchou lamp, Dewgong snow globe, even the Wooper hair thing carrier.

Seeing as how Disney distributes Studio Ghibli movies in the U.S., I think Ariel should have a Ponyo poster somewhere.

While I'm not interested associating Disney with Ghibli the idea of linking Ariel and Ponyo is fun considering they're both based on the same story. Maybe I'll make Ponyo Melody's friend, I have actually been looking for someone for that role, and Ponyo seems to be of suitable age.

I'd say the texture of the bushes needs the most work. It doesn't seem to match the style of the rest of the scene somehow, although it's clear you put in a lot of effort. I'm sure the next time you tinker with bushes they'll look even better, and for now it's great that you added in the details of the background.

I at first thought it was Misty, since Ariel's hair looks sort of like Misty's hair in HGSS, and there's a lot of water type pokemon stuff, and Misty is like, crazy for water types, so yeah. I still think it's incredibly good. I could never draw like that if my life depended on it.
