As promised, here are the results for the Magical Girl Beta Contest (entries )!
As for my favourite, that would be

The choice was extremely difficult, and unfortunately I have problems with writing any better reasoning than the "I just like it". It's cute, unique, consistent, has enough detail to be interesting but doesn't get too busy. There were a lot of entries that fulfill these just as fine, but... well, this one just looks the best in my eye.
As for the winner of the poll, that honour belongs to

Congratulations for both winners and thanks to everyone who took part! There were so many great entries that it's a shame to only reward two, but alas, I can't draw that many prizes (I'm even behind my schedule for the Advent Calendar, it was supposed to be finished by now but I still have to draw seven games...). But I hope that everyone who was involved in the contest (either as a contestant or a voter, or both) had fun!
Winners will get a note on the prize once I get them written.

I was wondering.. Did you only select the winner, or did you rank the entries for yourself further than that in some way? Because for one of your earlier contests you first selected a top 10 or 20 or something. And I am very curious about how my design did. I understand you didn't love it, because it didn't win.

I did narrow the entries down a bit since it'd be impossible for me to think of all 57 at the same time, but I can't remember any more how many entries that was.
Your entry was nice and consistent and sticks to its theme with both colours and repeating the same shapes, and it didn't try to go everywhere at once.
And it's great you had fun with the contest

The blue one or the teal one? I liked both, so yeah, I'm happy that those who won won. I wouldn't have won anyway, so I didn't enter. I did make a thorough design, though, and had a LOT of fun with it. ;]
