PLEASE NOTE: My fic does not have these 2 as a couple. I've decided that I'll let it be shown on shipping groups (if people like it in that light then why not) but be aware that my story is more about Celestia being a mentally unstable shapeshifter with dangerous powers.
Certainly more horror/bizarre than shippy cuteness!Just so you know!
I actually finished most of this in good time, uploaded and... Realised I'd left off Celestia's wings. [Facepalm] And now... Some passable wings. Came out worse the first 2 times I drew them, trust me.

EDIT: Wings changed to more accurate, because the wrong-way feathers REALLY bugged me.

I thought the identity of the protector was nicely ambiguous when I saw the picture. Although the first assumption is Celestia, the yellow text suggests that the thought might be hers.

Still very beautiful artwork.
They are mostly closer than just teacher and student. I'm not sure, but to Twilight's eye, Celestia is close to a second mother. I'm not a fan of shipping.

Not sure how Luna would feel about that prayer, that whole "shunning the night" thing. Night doesn't always equal darkness, but they are certainly intertwined.

Too true. I can't see ANY of the mane six being in a relationship . The only shipping that makes sense is spike and rarity . However twilestia for me(even though it obviously won't ever happen) doesn't bother me. Like, at all. To me it seems more the sane slash pairings in mlp because it just looks cute and adorable . I see the two love each other easily more as a friendship/family type (celestia being like mother/her very first friend) but the romantic type doesn't bother me one bit (as long as they don't go freakin crazy with it >.>)

Haha, yeah, but still. People get joy from reading into relationships as "more than just friends" (or sometimes "more than just enemies").
I don't really mind any pairing unless it's both one I'm not fond of AND shown a lot. Twilight/Celestia is weird to me (major age difference too) but not hugely common, so.
