"Hey, look at this!"

Moon Dancer, as requested, looked at the book that Sunburst had just thrust into her face, but soon her eyes travelled to the stallion himself as he babbled about the page's revelations. She loved how excited he got over historical texts: how his whole face would light up over some factlet he'd found in a mouldy old book. It made Moon Dancer feel less alone, plus they were sitting so close that she didn't need glasses to see how cute he was. These study sessions were her favourite part of the week.

Suddenly, Sunburst was interrupted by someone talking, and Moon Dancer was horrified to realise that the voice was coming from her. Without thinking, she'd just corrected his pronunciation of some old Ponish! How could she be so critical of him? Why was she always such a buzzkill? This is why no one liked her! Stupid, stupid, stupid-

Sunburst blinked and then giggled. "That's what I love about you, Dancer! You always make everything better." He affectionately bumped his muzzle against hers and then returned to what he was saying with added emphasis on the corrected phrase.

Moon Dancer faltered for a moment, but then her eyes widened and she magically whisked several books over. "Wait, did you say that she saw a giant wooden sculpture of a fish-tailed goat? I know that landmark, it was written about somewhere here - no, here..."

Sunburst stifled a laugh as Moon Dancer's orderly nature gave way to enthusiasm; it always did once some investigation caught her interest, and it was always fun to watch. These study sessions were his favourite part of the week.
