Description TinTin hung up his long coat and sat beside Snowy at the fire. Stella picked up 2 empty cups from the desk.
"Fancy a cup of tea?" she asked holding up one of the mugs.
"yes please." replied Tintin.
"Chamomile or Chai?"
"Chamomile thanks."
She smiled and carried the cups out of the lounge. she returned 5 minutes later with 2 full cups of tea.
"Careful." she warned tinitn as she passed him his tea, "Its still a bit hot."
"thank you." said tintin placing the warm mug in between his hands. Stella sat down next to him and sipped her drink. tintin blew on the tea pushing the wispy steam away. he took a sip and gagged as he immediately placed the cup down on the floor.
"you're right." he said as he placed a hand over his mouth. "it is hot!"
Stella raised an eyebrow and smiled slyly.
"well thats what you get for not being paitent!" she giggled.
tintin smiled. "i guess youre right! well now i've learnt my lesson."
they looked at each other beaming. tintin blushed and turned away to stare into the fire. he rubbed his neck gently. stella copied.
"um, y'know...i've got a few old books in here if want to have a flick through those." she said drawing her attention back to him.
Tintin smiled. "sure!" they both stood up and walked over to stella's desk. she picked up an armful of large books and handed them to tintin.
"here," she said as she heaved them up. "we'll start with these."

---------

Tintin and stella were now sitting in silence, both leaning on the couch and flicking through random books with blind hope looking  for some sort of clue as to what the Clockwork Slaves might actually be about.
Stella had gotten through 18 books, but tintin was taking his time. there were so many books back here that he had never heard of!
he looked at each title and read each blurb, sometimes getting so caught up in the book that he often forgot what he was meant to be doing, but tella gently reminded him by donking him on the head and saying "focus!" with that sly grin of hers.

"whats this?" tintin said to himself. "a-ha! i think i've found- oh wait nevermind..."
"what is it?" said stella glancing over at him.
"doesn't matter, it says 'The Clockwork orange..."
Stella giggled. "silly!" she said winking.

after another 30 or so books they gave up.
"maybe we should have another look upstairs?" asked tintin.
"yeah, okay." said victoria as she stood up. "does snowy want to help?"
Snowy looked up and saw that stella and tintin were about to exit the room.
"arf!" he barked as he ran over to them.
Pixie awoke at snowy's bark and trotted after him.
stella smiled as she knelt down and picked pixie up.
"come on, snowy." said tinitn as he walked up the stairs and back into the main library.
stella lead them to the 'conspiracy theories and myth' section. they sat down and began to look through more books.

the library was getting emptier and emptier as the hours grew. soon the only ones left were stella, tintin and there two puppies, both once agin fast asleep.

-----

it was nearing the 11th our of the night. all was silent, apart from the occasional thump of books on the ground as they placed read books down.
"its too quiet...' annonced stella as she looked up from her book.
"what makes you say that?" asked tintin.
she looked at him with a raised brow. "i'll be back." she said
she trotted off back to the lounge and returned with a small portable radio. she tuned it to the classical channel and turned up the volume as "flight of the valkaries" came on.
"i love this song!' said stella as she stood up.
"me too!" said tintin.
"well what are you waiting for?" said stella as she grabbed his hands and pulled him too his feet. "dance with me!"
"oh...well...um...you see...i..cant really....dance" he stuttered.
"its alright!" said stella as she placed a hand on his shoulder and pulled his arm around her waist. "i'll teach you!"
"oh..." said tintin as he blushed nervously "thanks."
She held his free hand and began too slide back and forth. he followed cautiously.
"wow, tintin, youre a natural!" she said as she beamed up at him.
he smiled nervously. "thank you miss rose..." he blushed.
as they waltzed on to different songs as they came on, tintin began to relax and laugh. he had never known such a state of mind before. he laughed with stella as they both sat down exhausted from all the dancing.
"see? now wasn't that fun?" asked stella as she turned off the radio.
"yes." tintin giggled. "yes it was."

after they had both calmed down they began too flick through the many piles of books again. it was now well into the 12th hour and they were both getting tired.
stella laid down, closed her eyes and sat the book she was holding next to her.
"what are you doing?" asked tintin as he yawned and laid down next to her. "we're supposed to be looking for the book remember?"
stella picked a the book she had laid down, opened it to a random page and plonked it on her face.
"there." she moaned. "im reading."
tintin rolled his eyes and removed the book from her face.
"i suppose we could take a little break." he said as he gently closed his eyes.
stella turned and laid on her side to face him. she placed her hand in his and squeezed it tightly.
"thanks."
and with that, the both fell asleep.
