Due to some recent costume work I've started to dabble a bit in leather working. I'm still a beginner for the most part but I hope to do more since I love the subtle relief effects you can create.This was done for my fiancée's birthday present. He is obsessed with the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan, especially after the continuation written by Brandon Sanderson. He even got me to pick it up again after stalling on book 5 years and years ago(currently back on book 4).
All the designs are from the chapter headers: The Dragon, Dragon's fang/Flame of Tar Valon/ Symbol of the Aes Sedai.
*The dark/dyed areas are beveled/inlayed in while the white areas are beveled/embossed out.

This is beautiful, someone in one of the Wheel of Time FB group shared it today and so many people love it. If you do decide to make these for sale or commission you should contact the proper people to become a licensed WoT artist, I think someone through Ta'veren Tees would be able to point you in the right direction.

Love Wheel of Time and Love nice leather work..Wheel of Time needs more items like this for sale for their fanbase. Using the Chapter Headers is perfect design choice seeing all of us Diehards would recognize them right away. Beautiful work. Keep it up. You will surely have a customer here if these go up for sale. I Discovered TWOT when the 14th book came out. Believe or not, as much as I love Fantasy, I had never heard of the series until seeing an ad for the 14th book! I bought the entire series and binge read it in three months. Now I'm reading TWOT ReRead on Tor .com. It is like reading the books again while taking advantage of another reader's point of view!
The wallet is gorgeous and a great reminder of an extraordinary series.

That is just absoloutely amazing. I dont know a thing about leatherwork but i would have loved to watch you make that. You should seriously keep going, you could sell stuff like that for a fortune...hell i'd buy it and i dont even use a wallet xD
