I discovered this Dream Up thing today. Who knew? I put in "Plain Jane," and got this. I actually am rather impressed by the composition, the placement is interesting and nice.

My thoughts on ai art? It's cool. Artists are up in arms about it, but to me, it's a derivative of a collage. That's what it is, a bunch of drawings frankensteined together. So, I like it. Artists must adapt when new technology is developed. It's no different from when the camera was made commercially available about 100 years ago. I don't consider it stealing, either. Sampling is in every other creative medium (music, for example.) Additionally, it's not a carbon copy of the sampled material, it's something new. It falls under creative transformation, in my view. That is all.

Well, maybe I'm more lenient because my art's all over the place, so it'd be challenging for a robot to replicate it. I guess the most at risk are those artists who draw the same thing all the time, with the same composition, and call it new. Good. I hope all those stagnant artists get the kick in the pants they deserve, and actually start innovating for once. The world would be better off with less lazy artists.
