Description
A redesign of the old character, Sugarcube, or more commonly known as the Alternative Universe HayWire. He is no longer such [despite the familiar appearance, don't throw me overboard], but rather his own character in his own universe, and has no association with the character HayWire.

I've actually developed Sugarcube's world quite a bit over the past year or so. It's a dystopian-like world where you're never allowed to stop smiling, and showing any other facial expressions results in being put to death. Pretty much every other crime, like murder, robbery, whatever- is overlooked because of this dominant rule. Wavering in happiness or potential crimes can get you sent to a thing called 'Reconditioning', which is basically where they brainwash citizens and make them into ideal examples of good members of society. The small world is swarming with an organization called the SSCG [the Smile Security and Control Guards], who are armed with machine guns, tear gas, oxygen tanks, and colourful identity-concealing masks. Sugarcube used to work as an SSCG, and he was always so happy to do that, which is weird because the majority of SSCGs are very serious about their jobs. I mean, it includes mass killings of protesting citizens all the time, it's not really a joking matter. Sugarcube always seemed to find the best of it, and make everything seem amusing. The other guards found him to be annoying, and heavily disliked him. So they just sent him off to Reconditioning, where he was brainwashed into thinking he was a regular member of the community, who just happened to have "unexplainable" hydrochloric acid burns on his hands and in his one eye. At Reconditioning, he met Bently, a member of a revolution against the SSCG and the law, who was betrayed by his fellow protestors and sent to Reconditioning. Sugarcube was convinced that Bently was his friend, and Bently used that to get Sugarcube and his miniature form to sneak around small spaces in the Reconditioning building to get ahold of the keys to the guard's office, where Bently was able to burn Sugarcube's and his files, and then blow up a portion of the building, which ended up killing most of the people in Reconditioning at the time.

Bently and Sugarcube assumed [stole] new identities, and now they run a small, discreet ice cream parlor, which ended up being a big hit after Bently killed all the previous employees and owner, grinded them into a paste, and served them as ice cream. Turns out people loved the taste of that. Not so much knowing what was inside it.
Sugarcube was not a fan of killing people, and lives with the fear that he'll be caught for what he's doing and executed [though he never stopped smiling about it]. Bently keeps Sugarcube very busy to make sure he doesn't run away and rat them out to the authorities [which is something he would absolutely do, given the opportunity].
On the odd times, an SSCG will discover the parlor and threaten an investigation, in which Bently easily 'takes care of' with his helpful minigun, which easily wipes out entire shops full of customers. Since disappearances aren't uncomon in this world, they're usually able to get away easily with what they do, as long as they keep grinding their victims into ice cream mush. Sugarcube is forced to serve it, knowing the awful truth.

There's my fun little ramble for this character! I have drawings of Bently finished, too. I'm just mustering up the courage to actually post them. In the meantime, he'll be a mystery fellow. ;^)
