Ignore.

I'd exit, but i'd rather stay alive to piss off the things that make me want to exit.

I'd not want to restart, because mistakes make you who you are. they make you and break you. Soo... yeah. I'd restart with God though... 8D

Hmm... I wonder if your interesting take on things -- about staying alive to piss off the things that make you want to exit -- would still apply if those things were never pissed off, no matter what you did to piss them off? (speaking from personal experience, here...) Would you continue to live just to keep trying to piss them off, or would you resign yourself to the fact that the person or thing that makes you want to exit enjoys putting you down too much to get pissed off by you, or whatever it was that kept them from getting pissed off?

I agree that mistakes make you who you are, but what if you don't like who you are?

I enjoy playing devil's advocate, in case you couldn't tell.

I'm pretty stubborn. But, a lot of times people are pissed off even if they don't show it, or wonder why you don't quit. And, changing who you are is possible, it just takes Jesus and a lot of effort.
And, even if i ever thought about how i would die, i'd never do it. I just don't want to have to explain to my God that i quit. My personality is a go-down-fighting one. I am a rather passionate person. And i love God, my family and the good times in life.
Life is not about the breaths you take, but the moments that take your breath away. Those are what i hang onto besides God anyway.
But it seems that the people with everything/live nice lives seem to have the most problems... or is that just me?
But i do have plenty of problems, 4 sure. they just may be different from everyone else. one person's problem may seem insignificant or they can't understand it while to another person it may be a big one.
Sorry i sound like a shrink. I'll shut up if you want. XD

hazika In reply to i-like-sushi [2008-06-27 15:37:00 +0000 UTC]

Nah, you don't sound shrink-ish. I should know, having been to enough of them, lol. You just sound... idk. Friendly, occasionally borderlining on preachy. (My personality is the honest type, although not entirely blunt, since I try to phrase things so as not to completely alienate the people I'm talking to; I'm sorry if I'm failing at this)

Would you say, then, that non-Christians cannot change who they are? Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, and members of all other religions are all stuck with the mannerisms and temperaments and philosophies with which they are born? I'm really not trying to insult you or anything (I'm Christian, too) -- I just enjoy playing the devil's advocate, if you'll pardon the phrasing. And after having taken a course in philosophy of religion this past spring semester, there are just some religious topics that arouse my interest, and religious diversity is one of them. If you'll humor me with some religious discussion by replying in a private message, I would love to see just how much I have learned -- in a practical sense -- from my classes.

One time, on a forum, somebody was talking about how death was such a terrible thing, and I made a comment in disagreement, citing rape and torture as examples of things I was sure (and still am sure) that most people would rather die than have to endure. The person questioned why I was being so depressing, and called me an emo. I returned by saying I was being depressing because I was clinically depressed and had forgotten to take my anti-depressants that particular day. The person immediately apologized, and even stood up for me when other people said that depression was no excuse for being a party-pooper -- until she asked what caused my depression, and I told her that the trigger was my parents' divorce after a long, confusing time of trying to figure out whether or not my dad was cheating on my mom. The person's next response was, and I quote: "That's it?" She said she was expecting a sob story including maybe some of the things I had listed in my list of things not to want to live through, and even said that everything I had gone through was "nothing" compared to what "other people" had gone through. So, I guess the point of this paragraph is, as long as you're not going to be like this person, I won't tell you to shut up; I try not to turn away people who are trying to offer help, especially when I am so desperate to get better!

ive been wondering, what would I be if i restarted. like, what are the terms?? do i restart as a child, well then what would keep me from ending up as failure once again??... or maybe i'd start a whole new life, but im not willing to give up the life i have! last choice, and possibly the most grotesque, is that i would restart as a child, but with all the experience i have now, well what a god dammed creature i would be then!! imagine a newborn who can walk, talk and who has an insane talent for debate!!! a ten year old who is technically old enough to drink. and imagine my life, what I would be, an outcast.

and lastly, if i exit, is that it?? am i gone?? where is gone, where did i go? does it mean im dead, or does exiting life mean im a failure AND im giving up??

well, to be truthful, id just ignore the message, computers are shit stupid anyway.

hazika In reply to iBeLaughing [2008-03-10 02:46:43 +0000 UTC]

Well, I was thinking "restart" would literally start your life over again... As in, you go back to infancy... But that's just my idea. It's up for interpretation.

If you exit, you die. I don't think there's any interpretation on that one.

NO! Computers are awesome, dude! I them!

but still, i think id ignore...

Ignore... for now.
Second choice is restart... as someone else said, with a backup on a flash drive or five.
Never quit.

And of course, being the nerd I am, the thing that comes to my mind when I read this comment is from the stupid movie "Galaxy Quest"...:

NEVER GIVE UP! NEVER SURRENDER!

(but sometimes it is VERY tempting...)
