I have a soft spot for Iris.  Best little bartender I ever knew...
Oh, the flower.  Soft spot for those too.  Iris were the only flower that we could grow reliably in the mountains.  
We could find wild iris along the stream up in Cienega Canyon.

Iris are special to me also - wild iris did very well in the marshy areas of Kodiak Island.  My mom loved wild flowers, which she would pick and press.
