Hi Hilary - I have to say I find your work stunning. It's not just that the photographic images are so well composed, nor that the treatment to give the look is so clever, but the overall effect is one of timelessness and contemplation, even, perhaps, a little sadness.

thank you for the thoughts. i've been told before that my images are sort of vaguely melancholic, which definitely seems to be true. i like the idea of conveying contemplation very much, this is probably what i feel like i am doing most when im actually taking or working the images.

"haha, why clever?" ... because I think you are. Very few artists leave room for others to enter their works. I see that you leave plenty of space for the imaginations of others. I think that that, is the mark of a fine and clever artist. The simple and desaturated tones that you employ show very good taste and a cool sensibilities.
I also think that you are a fine artist. I look forward to seeing your works.
