  Time Squad is about a team that travels back in time to historical moments to keep everything aligned and make sure it is normal. A very straightforward time travel plot but it has a ton of great qualities to it.

  First of all, the characters are fun! Otto Osworth is an orphan who loves reading and a huge history buff, so when he joined the time travelers he became very useful and normally solved issues because the other two characters are… not very good at their job. Buck Tuddrussel is the brawn member of the group and ironically enough he doesn’t seem to know events in history very well, to him this is just a job and nothing else. He trashes where the Time Squad lives and often argues with his robot partner Larry. Although he does serve as a nice father figure to Otto since Otto doesn’t have one. Larry 3000 is my favorite character, he’s basically the polar opposite of Buck. He’s well mannered, polite, and is tidy. He can also be sarcastic and passive aggressive, which happens to be one of my favorite character traits in a cartoon series.

  The show’s humor is very good. The satire on political figures is hilarious and greatly exaggerated. The rest of the show’s jokes are more hard to describe since it's mostly from the character’s interactions with each other and therefore naturally funny. My favorite funny moments from this show comes from Buck and Larry’s banter and how cynical Larry is, actually can I just say that half the jokes I laughed at in this series come from him?

  Overall this show is GREAT. It is formulaic but they make great use out of the familiar premise with strong characters and good jokes. Unfortunately the show ended after 2 short seasons but oh well, at least it stayed consistent. The worst part of the show was the pilot which was just dull but if that’s the worst thing I can say about this show then that’s amazing.
