people saying the T/V. rex is kicking its ass

if you ask me it looks like the spinosaurus has quite the upper hand

Love the quills that are on his neck!

also isn't that a Vastatosaurus not a Tyrannosaurus?

Beautiful artwork, great image! As Fantasy artist god Frazetta said, he paint for emotions not exact anatomical accuracy. An interesting match up, Bull Dog built Rex vs more agile but more lightly built Spino ... Spino’s claws could do huge damage, but if Rex got a good bite in, the Spino’s bones would splinter...

I love how everyone is saying "Take that JP3" "Kick his inaccurate ass" when the spino is fine it just needs light feathering on it like a penguin and a lil of lip. But it wasn't meant to be accurate you idiots.

I like how its a v-rex(at least I'm assuming) which is a fictional dinosaur and then a non-accurate dinosaur fighting. Its beautiful.

Jurassic Park 3 wasn't wrong a Spinosaurus is larger than a Trex and would win.

You obviously don't know shit. The Spino has short back legs. It was longer but not bigger. It's jaw was for aquatic animals and it could barely walk on it's back legs. T Rex would have killed this thing easily. And it's claws wouldn't do shit because it wouldn't be able to stand and land any good hits. One easy chomp and the Spino is done for.

Larger doesm't mean stronger.

It does in this case the only way T. rex can win is if he gets a good bite in but the spinosaurus is faster stronger and possibly smarter.

But I heard the Soino has a weaker bite since its more used to catching fish rather than other dinosaurs

shadowninja287 In reply to Ironwarchiefwarsong [2017-09-05 23:19:32 +0000 UTC]

that's true but it does have sharp claws that give it an advantage in the end it goes to whoever gets the first hit and how good it is.

That seems true. Though im pretty sure there were theropods bigger than these two right?

Well, with the new appearance of both those dinosaurs, I guess now it can be called Vastatosaurus (fictional dino from King Kong) vs Oxalaia.

Vastatosaurus had three fingers, didn't it?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

AcroSauroTaurus In reply to wyncalledchara [2016-08-07 06:28:14 +0000 UTC]

Yes it did, but no one pays attention to how many fingers a predatory dinosaur has anymore... even if its a fictional dinosaur.

Gozer-The-Destroyor [2014-08-31 01:16:44 +0000 UTC]

Dude, it's a V. rex. Same skull proportions, same alligator jaw, same general design.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 0

Herschel-Hoffmeyer [2014-04-15 23:32:51 +0000 UTC]

I can see the skull but the V.rex is still twice as big and the anatomy of the rest of the body is not the same. V.rex was like 70 feet long, that's over twice as long. Look it up if you don't believe me, they don't even compare, not even to spino. V.rex also had much larger and more muscular arms along with thumbs. I think the only thing that be claimed here are the design of the teeth.

Kevcatalan [2014-04-03 19:08:44 +0000 UTC]

I think Arvalis is referring to the overall look, plus Peter Jackson's V-rex was definitely not twice as big. It was only about 10-20% bigger and the proportions were the same for the most part. Meaning the arms were also small. Plus the head is exactly like the Vrexes in the movie. It has no lips and even has the imperfect really jagged teeth like they did in the movie.Β

Herschel-Hoffmeyer [2014-04-01 05:54:03 +0000 UTC]

The V-rexΒ  was actually over twice the size of this, had much larger arms and hands with thumbs and a much larger head in relation to the body. I think you're picking up on the coloring and the bumps on his skin in relation to the V-rex.
