I'm guessing you're using broadband internet. And a lot of times the broadband modem will glitch and you have to reset it. To do that you turn your pc completely off. Then you unplug the power cord from the broadband modem then count to 60 with the power cord unplugged. Then after you count to 60, plug the power cord back in to the modem and wait until all the lights are steady and not blinking on the broadband modem. Then turn your pc back on and go back on the internet. You'd be surprised at how much faster your pc will work after doing this. Try that and if it doesn't work, let me know cause I have other things you can try as well
