Sometimes I just get plain sick of fighting my computer and doing a poor, sloppy job with CGing. When I get to that point, I'd much rather do a poor sloppy job with RM
So this is a doodle I started in charcoal and touched up with acyrlic. The kelpie is one of my most favorite mythical monsters and I've wanted to draw one for quite a while. The kelpie offer rides to unsuspecting travelers and then run them to a bog, drown them, and feed on their flesh, leaving the intestines to rise to the surface, yum yum :9 *hums Jethro Tull*

Mmm... Kelpie... Such a beautiful and eerie creature that I absolutely love. This is a very nice piece, and I like how you combined the use of charcoal and acrylic. The only thing that really bugs me is the size of the eyes. Perhaps you wanted to give the appearance that they're glowing with a wider diameter? They just look too big to me. (Now I realize this is nearly a year old, so you may have noticed this already.)
I love how the Kelpie flows nicely into its surroundings, though. ^^

yesh, in the original pic they eyes were smaller and kind of glowing. However, my scanner is kind of wonky and no matter how hard I try, I can't find the perfect scan. It took the ambiance of the glow to form the circumference -_-;;; sorry

Kelpie!
Oh I love that creature! I mean, in its appearance and specialness. I also read that they can deflaten themself and kind of travel up the rivers. Once read a bookscene where a boy sat at a creek and suddenly saw a horse head with milky white eyes looking up at him through the water.
