Sometimes I think I fall into a rut because I've used up a ton of ideas already back in the day.Of course, back in the day I hammed out some really monstrous horrors.
So, solution? Play around with redrawing old concepts. As such, a significantly better looking Rika, massively pregnant in a one-piece that no longer fits, a la those old things I drew back when I first got a tablet.
I like to think I've improved a wee bit. Elsewise, I still love the idea of a bathing suit fighting a losing battle against absurdity.

In what sense? That said I do see a bit more of that puffy, spiky-ness commonly associated with 80's/early 90's anime, as I am kinda partial to the styles of that era.

In a slightly more puffy sense. Even though it's almost insignificant, I noticed it being different from the earlier works.

Nice flat colors, next time try tilting her back a little. If she was real , shed be falling on her face. If you look up 8 to 9th month pregnancy pictures you'll notice that the arc in the back of the woman is different, its curving backwards, so she doesnt tip foreward

It's interesting how there's that little gap under her belly. It's a little thing but it adds a lot of depth.

Everything here is spot on. The lineart, her proportions, (and by that I mean how all her body parts, save the swollen bits, are the correct size and length for her body size) the colouring, and the adorable bemused expression on her face.
