Demonizing the easter bunny will not be tolerated. But alas, I'm late, I'm late.... I'm late for a very important date.

Strangely I think the addition of the rabbit head to Pope Innocent has profound philosophical implications. Now I will need to go back and explore whether this is also true for the others before I prepare my thesis

Here are the exhibition notes

"By revisiting the works of the great masters, Hillary White's practice of replacing the heads of key figures with rabbit-head masks serves both to personalise and to universalise any key theme held within the work. A screaming pope becomes no longer Pope Innocent X, but the artist herself, or the viewer. While viewing 'Venus at her Mirror,' the person of Venus is removed, leaving a vacuum into which we find ourselves placed, and opening up the work to a more inclusive consideration on the part of the viewer"

Something along those lines

"DONNIE DARKO" runs through my mind when i look at some of your paintings... i know that most are paintings from other artists but with the rabbit and a certain look you give them... you make them your own... this one is creepy but yet one can't help but just stare and enjoy... LOVING THIS FEELING! thank you

Donnies' mind is like mine... dark dawn playing in the back of it... i think that it wouldn't have been the same if he hadn't died in thee end though... soo good for the director... anyway... congrats on excellence in your work
